WHO WE ARE

After several years in Blackrock market John and Velda Conaty decided to upscale and opened a new bead shop in Bray. After several months they were busy enough that they had to draft in another family member, Shane Conaty, to join them. From 2006 to mid 2010 the shop went from strength to strength selling a huge selection of Beads, Swarovski Crystals, Semi Precious Beads, Seed Beads, Stones, Wire, Findings, Ribbons, Buttons, Crystals, Books and much, much more. They also, on occasion, ran jewellery making courses.

Then in mid 2010 the opportunity arose for BDI Jewellery to move to a new, larger location, and so, after a slight name change and many complications...

... BDI Beads opened its doors on Florence rd, in Bray. The selection is larger, including things like, size 15 seed beads, tear drop seed beads, Delicas, Pandora style beads, more Czech glass and a wider selection of semi precious beads. Come 2011 we hope to include a small coffee shop called 'The Other Half', somewhere to chat with other beaders, or a place to drop your 'other half' as you browse our wares. As if that wasn’t enough, there is also a dedicated classroom above the shop, so you can expect a vast array of new classes, again in the New Year.
